Free entry to all WWC games in Přerov

Přerov will be hosting a top women´s hockey tournament for the second time in just a couple of years. The organizing comittee believes that it will attract as much attention as the 2012 U18 WWC and the fact that there will be free entry to all games should help that objective. The event will take place over seven days and it will all begin on Sunday at 1 pm with the home team facing off against France.

The Under-18 Women´s World Championship in late 2011 and early 2012 had huge success in Přerov, luring loads of fans into the arena. During the preliminary stage, an attendance record was created and the best of all crowds came to the fifth-place game with the Czechs facing Team Finland, backed by 3,250 fans.

The top Czech national team played in the elite division for the first time ever last year and despite good outings, it failed to avoid relegation. This year the Czechs are looking to get promoted back up. To do that, teams from Přerov will have to win the Přerov tournament and then beat Japan in a best-of-three series that would take place in the Czech Republic as well.

And this year, there is free entry to all Přerov games as well. For those who can´t be there in person, the organizing committee prepared cooperation with HP Video for live video streaming which you can access by clickng this link. Text play-by-plays will be available in English at Eurolivescores.com. See the tournament schedule here.
